Here is our beginning siding to cover up the parts most likely to get weather.
During our week full-time in January (2007) Papa and Eliz are working on the siding and soffit of the long side adjacent to the septic field. Fortunately the wind almost always came from the other side and we had quite a few sunny days so it was quite comfortable to work without jackets.
Here is a shot (actually from 2006) of the siding we put on the front. We went up 10 ft to try to catch most of the weather.
In November of 2007 we got the siding and soffit finished on the other long side and started to tackle the front. You can see that it is pretty precarious working near the peak! The first thing was to get the window installed which required finishing around the opening.
Putting up the Tyvek was much more of a challenge than I had anticpated.
The window is finally in, we can actually start the siding!
