I was born in 1964 to a Navy family, and as a consequence, have moved all over the United States as I was growing up. I therefore consider myself "from" the entire United States. I went to high school in Northern Virginia (Manassas and Warrenton) then spent some time at NOVA Community College before going to Virginia Tech. There I received a degree in Biochemistry and spent several enjoyable years doing academic research. Later I earned a Master in Business Administration to fill out my self-taught business education. I have a strong entrepreneurial background and have started several businesses prior to Sol System Corporation. I program in C and my favorite platform is UNIX. I currently live in Maryland where I am working as an analyst. My work background includes reserve work in the military (Marines and VA National Guard), time as a manager of a chemical production facility, and many years as a biochemist.
