After we got the posts up around the pool (half the posts hold the roof up, the other half are needed to help keep the walls stable) we wanted to mark the level of the water so we could get an idea of the final depth. At the the shallow end (the front of most of the pictures) the water starts at a bit over 3.5 feet. You should be able to make out the white tape we put at the level (as marked by a laser, but for the final marks we will use a water level to be certain). The pool only gradually slopes about 2/3 its length (75 feet) because of the extensive bedrock we encountered. It goes to about 5 feet at the 2/3 mark, then we got a bit of luck with the rock and were able to drop down to nearly 7.5 at the deepest point.
