Here are some pictures of us working on the footers, many of which are entirely in bedrock. Some of the ones that included forms never-the-less required some rock removal to get the form to sit level in the bottom of the hole.

Here we are getting some help from Lolyn and Bong. What you can't appreciate is that Bong's head is nearly expoding from his hangover. He didn't even wince when I fired up the jackhammer! I was very impressed at his ability to function while suffering.
