The weekend of May 21st, 2011 we headed out to the property with high hopes as we had decided that we would simply raise the pool out of the ground in order to work around the rock and I felt we might have already got the depth we needed and just needed some cleanup. However, when we arrived and looked at the hole, we found it was nearly full of muddy water! I had left a bucket out to get an idea of how much we needed to water the garden and the bucket had 4 inches of water in it! Given that there was surely some evaporation, we might have had as much as 5 inches of rain over the week and since the ground is totally saturated, the water seeped in from the ground. We were not smart enough to take pictures when we firt got out there (I guess I was too depressed to suggest it), so these pictures are from Saturday when the water level had probably dropped by 6-8 inches or so.
