When Danny and Danny were putting in the wooden walls of the pool, they also put in a ciderblock wall for the equipment room. Here we are working on that effort. First we stuffed some insulation in the block voids, then we poured some concrete in selected voids to hold J bolts that would hold down the bottom plate of the wooden walls. That turned out to be a bit of a pain, I used some acrylic product that was supposed to result in harder concrete, but the damn stuff hadn't set up overnight, so we dug it out and put in regular concrete.

I wanted to build an easily removable floor so could get stuff in and out of the bottom area (I have to get at least a couple hundred gallon tank for handling the pool water prior to treatment, the only way to have our desired 'infinity edge' pool with the gutters), so put in a ledger board across which I would have short sections of floor I could remove.

Below you can see the sump that is dug in a further 2.5 feet below the gravel. It does a remarkable job keeping up with the ground water (as long as it is working).

Man that is a big pool...

The walls begining to take shape, and you can clearly see my removable floor.

Sometimes we got creative on ways to move around. I found it quite stable, but Eliz wasn't so sold on it.

Working on the overhang, not quite 4 ft.

Getting the roof water tight, fortunately a tiny job.

Another shot of this huge pool...

Getting the sheating up, window in and rain barrier.
